 Senior Organizational Effectiveness Consultant, President & Owner- Wilhelmina Parker

Wilhelmina Esi Parker, is the President and Senior Consultant of Sankofa Solutions Inc. Wilhelmina is an Organizational Development Professional with several years of experience in training and learning, leadership development, organizational effectiveness and organizational evaluations and assessments. She holds a Master's Degree in Organizational Psychology (with a concentration in Training and Learning) as well as a Graduate Certification in Organizational Conflict Management .  Wilhelmina also studied the principles of Instructional Design and has a bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.

Born and raised in Ghana, West Africa, to a Ghanaian father and Nigerian mother, Wilhelmina (whose native name is Esi Sekyiwa Tonyin) immigrated to the United States in 1990, and now calls Oakland, CA home. An advocate of diversity in organizations, Wilhelmina articulates her personal approach to cultural competence as follows:

 Wilhelmina’s work experience has included roles as the Providian Learning Institute Program Manager (where she managed the Providian Learning Institute Corporate Training program); Shanti Volunteer Services & Training Manager, (where she designed and delivered training to effectively develop volunteers to support individuals living with Life threatening diseases such as HIV/AIDS and Breast Cancer);  as well as the HIV Health Services Planning Council Training and Evaluation Manager, (where she provided Training and Learning and organizational assessments/survey Services to the HIV Health Services Planning Council).  As a Leadership Coach/Development Advisor, Wilhelmina has provided coaching to High Performers; analyzing, interpreting, and delivering “360 degree” assessments for Leadership development purposes.  Wilhelmina has also consulted with international firms in Organizational Effectiveness such as Fab Logistics, Nucura  Pharmaceuticals, and Tuntum Consulting (Ghana, W. Africa). 
 Most recently, Wilhelmina was the Training Manager of Fred Finch Youth Center (http://fredfinch.wordpress.com/programs/fred-finch-training-department/), where she launched and managed the Agency's Training & Learning Program.  Wilhelmina brings a practical, best practice based and results oriented approach of Organizational Effectiveness to all your training and learning and organizational development needs.
 

Senior Information Technology Consultant- John Edward Kofi Bentum

John, also a native of Ghana, West Africa joins the ranks of Sankofa Solutions and brings over a decade worth of varied IT Experience to your IT needs and projects. In addition to being a Senior IT consultant for Sankofa Solutions, John is also a Senior Systems Engineer at  Verizon Business, based in San Francisco, CA.

His work experience and skill set includes
Internet/E-Commerce support engineer; Windows Level 3, Unix Level 2 – 24/7 managed server/network  support for public Internet/E-Commerce (Retail) websites;    Systems Administrator – Perot Systems (Broadlane Account) One-man IT shop for approximately 150 users in 3 offices, 20 servers. Responsible for Server hardware and software support, backup/restore, phone system administration (Cisco IP Phones), Admin and support for Treo Smartphones with Goodlink, Voicemail administration on Avaya Call Express, Fax server admin on RightFax. All desktop/laptop hardware and software installation, support and maintenance, Tandberg Video Conferencing. Cisco VPN, RAS. TCP/IP, DNS management, Group Policy Administration, SMS, Active Directory Management. Wireless Networking.

At Perot Systems, John managed Hardware and Network installation and support for clinical application deployment across multiple hospitals nationwide.

 Senior Human Resource Consultant- Essie Greene

Essie, also a naturalized native of Ghana, West Africa, is a dedicated and results oriented Human Resources Professional with over 13 years of progressive work experience as a Generalist and Manager in multiple industries. Experienced in various areas of Human Resources including Employment, Compensation, Benefits, Worker’s Compensation, Immigration, Safety, Employee Relations and Payroll. Specialized experience in supporting managers during the recruiting process, developing programs and documentation to conform to various regulations, interfacing and training with all levels of employees, as well as defining site policies to enhance employee knowledge. 

Major strengths include:  Analysis and problem solving. Policy development and training, Payroll processing, Budgeting. 
In addition to being a Senior Human Resources Consultant with Sankofa Solutions, Essie is also currently the Human Resource Manager with Foundation 9 Entertainment,  based in Irvine, CA, where she is responsible for all areas of human resources including employee relations, policy development and implementation, health benefits and leave management, 401k administration, as well as training and development. Some of Essie's recent accomplishments at Foundation 9 include revising existing timesheets to be AB60 compliant, successfully reducing the company’s experience modification rate from 1.42 to .86 in two years through effective communication and aggressive safety awareness programs, designing and implementing a compensation structure ensuring fairness and equity within internal, developing a thorough employee handbook, as well as policies and procedures, including an Alternative Work Schedule program.   Under her leadership, the company received the prestigious first place award for CE News’ 2005 Best Civil Engineering Firm to Work For in the small firms category throughout the United States. Essie has successfully implemented and managed site’s charities and activities committee, keeping in alignment, PACE’s value of community involvement and partnership. Increased philanthropic participation such as school music programs, Orange County Fire Association, Student Activities at Cal State University, Long Beach and the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.

 
Essie holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, a Certificate in Human Resource Management and is also a Certified Trainer in Workplace Harassment Prevention. She has also received training in Affirmative Action Plan, Effective Communication, COBRA, FMLA and ADA compliance, and AB60 Compliance, as well as various Certificates in ADP Paydata Entry, ReportSmith, and Advanced Workers Compensation, ADP-HRB and PayExpert.
